Carolyn Harris began teaching clothing design and embellishment in 1997 with classes in fabric manipulation techniques and smocking. Quilting just followed as a natural and in every free moment there were stitches that had to be made!
Presenting lectures and workshops to guilds and teaching classes is a passion. Being a Thread Head has expanded her cocoon with the art quilts she enjoys doing and being a Play Girl has really pushed the limits in exploring metal, plastic, clay, paint and threads in quilts.
Carolyn lives with her husband on a farm in Fair Play, SC. They have two adult children, son-in-law and two grand daughters.
